The numbers were up.
Lotterywest is a statutory authority of the Government of Western Australia, responsible for the lottery in WA and supporting community initiatives through grants.
Their existing intranet was getting in the way, slow, hard to use, low visual appeal, incompatible across browsers and devices. Adoption was low because the platform did not work for the people relying on it.
We were brought in to replace it with a modern, easy-to-use platform that brings people, processes and information into one place.

We built the new intranet on Drupal, secure, extensible, and customisable for the integrations a modern workplace needs.
Custom modules sync user profiles from Lotterywest's Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD). The Microsoft Graph API pulls information through a secure connection. Single Sign-On lets staff log in straight from Entra ID. Micro Focus integration makes documents searchable across the platform.

A custom Graph API integration retrieves information from Entra ID through secure access tokens.
Micro Focus.
Integration with Micro Focus (formerly HP Trim) so documents are referenced and downloaded from a fully searchable repository.
Power BI
Embedded performance graphs pull live business data into each staff member's personalised dashboard.
Built around the people using it.
Modern, interactive design across phones, tablets and large screens, conforming to WCAG AA. A personalised dashboard gives staff drag-and-drop control over what they see, notice boards, social feeds, performance graphs through Power BI integration, latest jobs.
Different content types are categorised through manageable taxonomy and presented on fully searchable, filterable pages. The result is an intranet staff actually use.

The new intranet brings together features and functions that empower and engage Lotterywest's employees. Staff have adopted it as their primary internal channel, and the platform's modern interface keeps them coming back.
